Personal and Professional:

Dr. Bednar grew up in New Jersey and always showed an interest in the medical field and caring for animals.  After becoming an EMT and working on an ambulance for several years, he decided to re-focus his career goals to include helping animals.  He began working as a veterinary assistant in New Jersey before attending veterinary school.  Dr. Bednar loves that he gets to strengthen the human-animal bond by working with owners in the medical care of their pets.  When not in the clinic, he enjoys keeping himself busy outside on sunny days with gardening and landscaping with his husband, Brendan.  When the weather is not as nice, he enjoys exploring his passion for cooking by preparing new foods and finding new recipes.  He also loves spending time with and caring for his dog, Sammy, and his three cats, Jesse, Mittens, and Charlie.
